Terms of service
Last updated November 4, 2026. These terms apply when you engage Map Standing ("we," "us") to help with a Google Business Profile or another online business listing. By submitting a case or accepting a service agreement, you agree to them.
1. What we do
We review your listing, explain the likely cause of a suspension or restriction, recommend and make corrections with your approval, prepare evidence and appeal text, submit appeals on your behalf, and, if you subscribe, monitor your listing's status.
2. No guarantee
Google LLC and other platforms decide whether a listing is reinstated, and when. We do not and cannot guarantee reinstatement, a timeline, or any search ranking. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for Google.
3. Your authorization and responsibilities
- You confirm that you own or are authorized to manage the business and its listing.
- You grant our Google account Manager access to your profile. We never ask for, and you should never share, your password or Primary Owner role.
- You confirm that documents you provide are genuine and unaltered. We will not submit anything we believe is false or misleading, and we may stop work if we do.
- You approve the evidence packet and appeal text in writing before we submit. Because most platforms allow one appeal per decision, we will not file without that approval.
- You will not create a new listing for the same business while we are working on the case.
4. Fees
- Diagnosis: free. Submitting a case does not commit you to anything.
- Reinstatement (pay on success): the fee quoted for your case, due only after the platform shows the listing as approved or reinstated and the listing is visible again. If it is not reinstated, no reinstatement fee is owed.
- Multi-location and agency work: priced per profile as quoted in writing.
- Protection plan: billed monthly in advance, per profile, until cancelled. Cancel any time before the next billing date; no partial-month refunds.
- Invoices are due within 15 days.
5. Access hand-back
When the engagement ends, or within 7 days of your request, we remove our Manager access. Protection-plan customers keep our access only while the plan is active.
6. Confidentiality and data
We use the information you provide only to deliver the service. See our privacy policy.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us for that case or, for the protection plan, the last three months of fees. We are not liable for lost profits, lost calls, or decisions made by Google or any other platform.
8. Ending the engagement
Either party may end the engagement at any time by email. Fees for a reinstatement that occurs within 30 days after you end a case we have already filed remain due.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota.
