Heating and cooling
HVAC company suspended on Google
Heating and cooling businesses tend to edit their profiles with the seasons, and those edits are often what starts a review. Brand-dealer naming and multi-location setups add to the risk.
Common HVAC triggers
- Seasonal name edits: adding "Furnace Repair" in October and "AC Repair" in May.
- Brand names in the name: "Smith Heating – Authorized Carrier Dealer" when the legal name is "Smith Heating."
- Several profiles for one company across cities, without real staffed locations.
- Address shown for a shop customers do not visit.
- Recent category changes stacked on top of each other.
What a HVAC appeal needs
HVAC licensing varies by state and often by city, and seasonal edits leave a trail Google can see. The appeal has to show a stable, real business behind a profile that no longer changes with the weather.

Common questions
- Can I add "Furnace Repair" to my HVAC business name for winter?
- No. Seasonal edits that add services to the name are a common trigger. Keep the name as it appears on your registration and trucks, and use services, categories and the description for seasonal work.
- Can I use a manufacturer's name in my profile, like an authorized dealer?
- Only if it is genuinely part of your legal business name. Adding a brand name to the profile name is treated as keyword stuffing. Mention dealer status in the description instead.
