Appeal denied: what you can still do
Google only lets you appeal a decision once, so a denial feels final. It often is not. Google's help page says it may run an additional review after a reinstatement request is denied, and that you can submit extra evidence through its contact form if that evidence was not part of the original appeal.
The key word is new. An additional review with the same documents and a more emotional explanation will almost always come back the same.
Work out why it was denied
Denials rarely say much, so start from the profile itself. Usually one of these is still true:
- The thing that triggered the suspension was never fixed. A city name still in the business name, an address shown for a home-based business, or a duplicate profile still live.
- The evidence did not match the profile. The registration is in the LLC name while the profile uses a trade name with no DBA filing, or the lease shows Suite 210 and the profile shows no suite.
- The evidence was the wrong kind. A business card or a website screenshot instead of a registration, license or utility bill.
- The profile changed after verification. An address change on a service-area business is a common example. See suspended after an address change.
What a second look needs
An additional review only helps if it brings something the first appeal did not: a document that closes the gap, or a profile that no longer has the problem. Resending the same files with a longer explanation almost always gets the same answer. Working out what was missing is the hard part, and it is different for every case.
When video verification is offered
Sometimes a denial offers verification by video instead. Google's rules are strict (one continuous, unedited, live recording of at least 30 seconds), and a rejected video costs another week. Owners on community forums report that the link sometimes never arrives, or that the review form will not load while another case is open. See video verification.
When to stop arguing and change the profile
Some profiles cannot be reinstated as they are. A service-area business that changed its hidden address after verification, for example, may only be able to come back with a real, staffed and signed location shown publicly. If your situation does not fit Google's rules, the fastest route is usually to change how the business is set up, not to keep appealing.
Do not start a fresh profile to get around the denial. Google says not to create a new Business Profile for the same business, and the reviews do not transfer.

Common questions
- Can I submit a second appeal after a denial?
- Not a second appeal for the same decision. Google allows one appeal per decision. After a denial, Google may run an additional review if you submit evidence that was not part of the original appeal.
- What counts as new evidence?
- Documents or proof you did not attach before, such as a license printout, a recent utility bill, a lease showing the suite number, or photos of permanent signage. Resending the same files with a longer explanation is not new evidence.
